The Red Cross and EcoBabyWorld Hold First Annual Green Event

On May 1, 2010, The Red Cross of Santa Monica joined forces with EcoBabyWorld to hold a lovely and inspiring  first annual Green Event at the sumptuous Bel Air Bay Club in Pacific Palisades, California.  The event highlighted  the need for safe green products for children, and all proceeds from the event were donated to the Red Cross of Santa Monica.  EcoBabyWorld's CEO Jeanne Holm Ackah, and John Pacheco.  Dr. Rob Amonic, and Dr. Caesar Aristeiguieta of the Red Cross presented Kelly Austing of IN Style magazine the "Inspirational Mom of the Year 2010" award for Kelly's unceasing dedication to the Autism Foundation and the American Red Cross.  Tommy, Kelly's son was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 1, but he has made great strides since then, due, in part, to his mother's diligent pursuit of proper treatment and care for those with autism. Both of Kelly's beautiful sons were in attendance.

The red or rather the green carpet hosted celebrities from the worlds of movies, television, sports and fashion.  All attending were treated with a delicious brunch on the outdoor patio overlooking Will Rodgers State Beach.

Vendors at the event included; organicKidz, Episencial, Zo-li, Paper Culture, Eco Bumz, Big Fat Hen, Beltz 4 Kidz, Booby Trapper, Organic Baby Couture, Hopscotch, Oxylent, and Margaret Rowe Jewelry. Olehenricksen Face/Body provided spa treatments for the attendees.  The event was coordinated by the lovely Christine Peake of the peakPRgroup of Santa Monica.
