Red Cross of Santa Monica Celebrates the Holidays and the Work of Its Volunteers

It's time for Christmas, and time to remember those that work behind the scenes to make a difference in this world.  When Katririna brought disaster, when much of Haiti was destroyed, the Red Cross was there to help.  On December 16, this year, the Red Cross of Santa Monica held a holiday party to thank those whose volunteer work made the herculean tasks of the Red Cross possible.

The evening was replete with song, magic, food and prizes, but most of all, those who volunteered their time and labor were honored by the organization.  Among those receiving awards, was My Teen Topix contributor, Christine Peake.  Christine is the President/CEO of the peakPRgroup, a boutique public relations firm headquartered in Santa Monica, California.  Her company is not only known for superb publicity and event planning, but more importantly, Christine always finds a way for her events to help her favorite charity, the American Red Cross Santa Monica branch.
