Selena Gomez Rushed to Hospital After Tonight Show Appearance

After appearing in good spirits on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Selena Gomez was rushed to the hospital due to an onslaught of nausea and a splitting headache.  Justin Bieber's girl was scheduled to make an appearance at the Santa Monica Place shopping center today, to promote her new movie, Monte Carlo.  The appearance was cancelled, but other events surrounding the promotion of the film will continue to take place at the Santa Monica venue.

While speaking with Leno on the show, Selena spoke briefly about her relationship with JB and his first meeting with her mom.  Ironically, Jim Carey, who was also a guest on the show, made a joke about vomiting, which seems even less funny this morning, given the circumstances of her hospitalization.

Gomez's new film, Monte Carlo, opens in theaters on July 1,  My Teen Topix, wishes the actress a quick recovery.

In an unrelated story, today, Jennifer Hudson made an appearance on the CBS Morning Show, and was also rushed to the hospital afterwards from an attack of food poisoning.  Warning to young celebrities: make sure your Blue Cross is paid up before appearing on talk shows.

Asics Sponsors An Amazing Event In The Hamptons To Raise Money For The Red Cross and the ONEHope Foundation -- Christine Peake

Memorial Day weekend got off to a charitable start in The Hamptons this weekend with ASICS sponsoring a terrific Fundraiser for the American Red Cross and the ONEHOPE Foundation. Guests packed the new hot venue THE ELM, in Southampton, which promises to be the place to be this summer. Guests drank charitable ONEHOPE wine which donates an astounding 50% of all profits to charity, and partied until the early hours.
The event was put together by PeakPRgroup and Parag Bhandari of UG Strategies Production. "Don't forget people really need our help," Parag reminded. "Tonight," he explained, "The American Red Cross is the real celebrity. ASICS are committed to helping raise as much awareness and money to aid Japan relief, globally they have already donated an astounding $250,000 to help the cause, they are truly dedicated to making a difference.”

American Red Cross sent Marcia Caldirola and Kelsey Howard to spread the message and inform guests of the importance of what the American Red Cross continues to do, not just in Japan, but also the devastating tornadoes that are happening on our own soil in the United States. Kevin Ackley, the general manager of The Elm said, “We are absolutely thrilled to be able to open our new venue, but to be able to support the American Red Cross and ONEHOPE just makes it even better for us. The Elm is a socially conscious venue, not only are we committed to a great summer in the Hamptons, we are committed to help make a difference any way we can.”

Joyce Magsarili, Manager of Direct Marketing Programs at ASICS also attended the ASICS sponsored weekend, proudly followed the sentiment, "Globally, ASICS have and always will support the American Red Cross, we support and aknowledge all their efforts and are proud to support them in any way we can."
